How I compared them

I started from the 60 most visible expense-tracking apps on Google Play in the U.S. store and kept the ones built for personal money. Business tools such as Expensify or SAP Concur, which turn receipts into expense reports for an employer, do a different job.

For each app I read its full Google Play listing, its price and in-app purchase range, and up to 200 of its most recent reviews, all as they stood on 6 June 2026. A feature counts only if the developer's own listing states it. Where a developer's reply or several reviewers add something, such as which features are paid, the entry says so.

I haven't used every app here for months, so the pros and cons report what the listings and recent reviewers say rather than a lab test. Prices vary by country and change often: check the store before you pay. Coinly's entry describes the app as it works today, including what it lacks.
